i am so happy to post these photos! a couples posts back i said that it seems every time i turn around there’s another way to photograph … well this one is a boss … another happy engagement in my extended family! craig and kendall will tie the knot in early june, so be sure to come back to see these smiling faces again!

the armbrester’s are a very special part of my extended family! they spend their summers here in charlevoix, and it has been so wonderful being able to watch their children grow up over the years! (scroll to the bottom of this post to see pictures of them along the way…) i love you guys!

christina and courtney are identical twins, if you couldn’t notice:)

this bridge was built by stacy’s dad (my grandfather), dawson way :) jacob, the youngest of this clan, looks soooo much like my dad when he was a boy … have a look!

lightning over lake charlevoix

a serious thunderstorm woke me up while i was sleeping at way bay on tuesday night. my camera was at my parents’ house, so by the time i drove home in the pouring rain, grabbed my gear and set up at way bay, the storm had basically passed. this is what i caught!

summer in april?

record high temperatures brought some of my extended family together for a day on the dock at way bay! while a group of my family is in florida for the week, we’re receiving weather almost equivalent here in michigan! if only the water was warmer and the boats were in the water! haha well, if only the weather would only stay this way for more than just a day or two! :) summer in april, and we are so thankful!

a visit to charlevoix for the weekend is not complete without stopping at way bay; however, this visit was different than most of the rest because grandma headed off to florida for a couple months in february, so the house is empty.
