watch out central michigan university! these four crazy, beautiful girls from charlevoix are living together this year! i had so much fun photographing ericka, caitlin, megan and desi! we shared a few good laughs, and i think they had a great time playing in the fountain! haha i’ve been waiting for somebody to want to get into that fountain at the end of a photo shoot – so glad it was these girls! have fun at college – don’t forget about the school part! haha

“blue hawaii” formula rendezvous! – friday

august 14-15 held dry harbour marine’s second annual formula rendezvous. the theme was blue hawaii (you know, like the old elvis movie), and we dressed up to celebrate! thirty-seven boats were able to check in to the charlevoix city marina between the hours of noon and six on friday afternoon. an hors d’evours party started by the docks after check in, and music performed by horton creek played long into the night! (well, 8pm) until huge rain clouds blew in over lake michigan, darkening the evening sky before we could head out for a sunset cruise.

adrienne made her first trip to charlevoix this weekend, and nervous as she was, meeting grandpa wasn’t as bad as she had expected! the way clan loves her, and my cousin tyler is quite fond of her as well ;) playful, energetic, and far from vanilla, photographing t.way and AD was a fun ending to an exciting weekend…

birthday dinner for kandis and caitlin

finally nineteen! my sister kandis and caitlin, high school friends, had a birthday last week! saturday night they all dressed up for a celebration dinner. even though their fancy heels sunk into the grass, we still had a great time :)
