burmeister family

my first meeting with the burmeister family was on a very hot, very sunny evening in early august. we went to a beach in bayshore, which lead to a very distracted little baby! we took a few photos through the heat, and decided that we’d better try again another night, maybe where bryce, the babe, wouldn’t be so distracted. earlier this fall i traveled to their home to photograph bryce again, this time a couple months older! we had a great time, the lighting was great and it was a tad chillier;) enjoy!

bobbie is the only daughter in her family, and when she was four, her mom, kim, had a photo shoot of the two of them together. this fall bobbie headed off to her first year of college – what better time for another mother-daughter photo shoot:) enjoy!

fryczynski family

another part of my extended family! the fryczynski’s are also very special to me, and i was so happy to be able to spend a few hours with them to take their family photos! prayers are with abbey as she’s traveling the world with ywam! she left just a day or two after this shoot, which made for a perfect opportunity to get together to update the family photo:) love you guys!

armbrester family

the armbrester’s are a very special part of my extended family! they spend their summers here in charlevoix, and it has been so wonderful being able to watch their children grow up over the years! (scroll to the bottom of this post to see pictures of them along the way…) i love you guys!

christina and courtney are identical twins, if you couldn’t notice:)

this bridge was built by stacy’s dad (my grandfather), dawson way :) jacob, the youngest of this clan, looks soooo much like my dad when he was a boy … have a look!

fidler family

last year over fourth of july weekend, i photographed the fidler family, and when rhona emailed me about photographing more fidler’s, i couldn’t resist! this ‘reunion’ had such a beautiful story behind it! (i’ll do my best to remember it exactly…:)) when the fidler kids were little, mr. and mrs. fidler would bring them to charlevoix during the summer, so for their 60th wedding anniversary, the kids surprised the parents with a family weekend in charlevoix! and for a family that lives all across the united states, this get together was especially special! i had so much fun working with the extended fidler family! we shared a lot of laughs and a beautiful walk down the charlevoix pier! mr. fidler actually reminded me a lot of my own grandfather :) enjoy these photos! they hold many precious memories!!

family from the detroit area came to visit last week for venetian, and as they were leaving our house to head back downstate we decided to have a quick little photo shoot of mallory and julie! julie is my mom’s cousin, and mallory is her only child – and a pretty princess at that! it was so great seeing you guys! hope to see you again very soon! :)

leah {senior ’11}

i met up with leah, and her mother and sister last week at their summer home in charlevoix for a few mother-daughter pictures as well as leah’s senior portraits! leah is from downstate and plays field hockey (how cool!). she has a beautiful smile and contageous giggle! i had a lot of fun photographing leah and her family. enjoy senior year and good luck with your future college plans!! :)

i met up with the extended bice family a couple weeks ago on a beautiful sunny sunday at rocky beach in bayshore, michigan. you may recognize one of these pretty smiling faces as bethany, the owner of the horse a few posts back! i had a lot of fun working with this family and look forward to seeing you guys around town! :)
