queen celina’s face spreads across this blog once again! taking advantage of the beautiful fall colors in northern michigan, she chose to have another round of senior portraits taken – what a wonderful idea! mt. mcsauba acted as a wonderful backdrop, and my new camera was put to great use! check out pictures from celina’s first photo shoots – click here

as the fall colors in the allendale area are truly starting to bloom, i decided to take my new nikon d300s out for a test drive at aman park. brent came along, and we climbed all over the place through the trails. we actually slid down this huge ravine to a little pond where a bunch of yellow leaves were floating and the trees reflecting. it was beautiful
a fallen tree acted as our tripod when we decided to turn the camera on ourselves for a little photo shoot
i LOVE fall!

“don’t stop believin’!” blared through the speakers at bair lake bible camp at the start of every worship session on oct. 9-11 during the west michigan cru fall retreat. no, we didn’t worship to journey music, it was the theme for the weekend! pastor kevin butcher from detroit came to share the love of Christ with us friday and saturday. flag football filled our saturday afternoon, and a huge bonfire came in the evening. this weekend was so amazing and definitely one to remember
ladies watching the tuff-guys play football
fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of the One True God

opening our hearts to hear what pastor butcher had to share (loved it!)
my cousin tyler paints sneakers. he’s wicked good at it! this is an excerpt from his blog (t.way customs.net) about the design of the shoe. click the link to view more information about his trip to the chris paul auction!
“Inspired by Chris Paul’s on-court anatomy of superior court vision, extensive basketball IQ, and committed love for the game, these sneakers were freehand painted by T.Way to be auctioned at the Chris Paul Winston-Salem Charity Weekend on September 26, 2009. The originally all-white Nike RT1 sneakers were graciously donated by All City Kicks sneaker boutique (Grand Rapids, MI).”
