also photographed in early january, the photos below are of the jv and varsity girls’ basketball teams. my baby sister kelsey and cousin anna played on jv that evening, and cousins jenna and madison played varsity. both teams were victorious during these games, but their season came to an unfortunate end after losing on monday night. you had a great season girls! two more years to go, kelsey and jenna!

as the high school basketball seasons begin the most competitive part of their season and draw to a close, i thought it’d be about time i posted pictures from games photographed at the beginning of january! yes, they’re a bit late, but better than never! from the games i watched, the girls’ and boys’ teams had a great season with many trails and triumphs. to view and order more photographs, please click here.

after taking emma for a quick walk saturday morning, my sisters kandis and kelsey and i decided to have a little photo shoot! we snapped a few portraits around the yard…
… and then headed to the charlevoix ice skating rink! what a fun idea! although, we haven’t really been skating in the last eight years, so we weren’t very talented … haha

a new lens, sunny weather and free time lead to walking down wealthy street with my best friend kelsey! we visited a resale shop that had tons of fun vintage stuff – i’d like to spend a few hours in that place!
the grand rapids shower for my sister’s first baby took place on saturday afternoon! family and friend gathered from all over michigan to celebrate with katie the future birth of her daughter ruth sophia glotzhober. what a wonderful day! we chatted for hours, ate lots of wonderful food made by aunt sue, opened presents and played lots of fun games kandis and lisa came up with! the weather was spectacular as well! the shower wasn’t held outside, but the light shining in through the windows created a beautiful atmosphere for a beautiful celebration. ruthie is due in april, so keep an eye out for pictures of her!
